Doug & Laney's Wedding

Doug and Laney were married on a beautiful sunny day on the deck looking out over the calm, blue water of Lake Muskoka.

I thought that a first look along the old highway would be a perfect way to capture Doug and Laney on their own, when the rest of the day would be full of merrymaking with friends and family.

The ceremony happened on the deck of the cottage, overlooking the lake, the sun perfectly spotlighting the center of attention… Percy the chihuahua. And Doug and Laney!

The ceremony was followed with a cookout on the deck and a little bit of the Women’s World Cup. Food was eaten, the cake was cut, drinks were drunk, and happiness abounded.

The night ended in warmer, comfier clothes and a round of fireworks to close out the celebrations. Everyone went home, and then the stars came out to sprinkle their joy over the lake.
